Upon arrival in Trabzon, you will be greeted by our representative andtransferred to your 5* hotel.
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Then, you will enjoy the highlights of the region in the vicinity of Trabzon city. First, visit the extraordinarySt. Sophia Church decorated with the 13 th-century Byzantine frescos. Once a church, then a hospital and later transformed into a museum, it serves now as a mosque. It is considered as one of the Turkey’s best-preserved and most important example of the late Byzantine architecture. The Church of Hagia Sophia was built in the year 1250 under the guidance of Emperor Manuel the first who ruled the Empire of Trebizond for 25 years. The building is identified by a high central dome and four large columned arches supporting the weight of the dome and ceiling. Next, proceed to discover Ataturk’s Mansion on Soguksu hill facing the Black Sea, a charming historic house museum that used to be a private pavilion in the 19 th century. After lunch at a local sea-side restaurant, head to the picturesque Sera Lake and enjoy some free time at leisure. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

This morning, you will initially explore one of the most striking spots of the Black Sea Region, the 4th - century Sumela Monastery which is carved out into a steep cliff on Karadag Mountain at an altitude of 1200 m. It used to be a Greek Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. According to William Miller, the Baptist preach that was the leader of the religious movement called Millerism in the 19th century, two Athenian monks named Barnabas and Sophronios discovered the monastery. It became famous for an icon of the Virgin Mary known as the Panagia Gorgoepekoos, said to have been painted by the Apostle Luke. Following lunch at a local restaurant, set out for the fantastic Altindere National Park that covers an area of 4468 hectares. Existing vegetation in the park exhibits examples of the unique floristic diversity of the Eastern Black Sea region. The pine forests and alpine verdure are the most significant aesthetic resources in the national park in terms of both species and composition, plus the appearance they offer in different seasons. Later on, cross the breathtaking Zigana Mountain to arrive in the city of Gumushane. After visiting the Karaca Cave which is regarded as one of the most beautiful caves in Turkey, continue to Uzungol for dinner and overnight at your 5* hotel.
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Today, you will take your time to explore the thrilling Ayder Plateau which is the Black Sea's most beautiful highland. The area is well known for its number of beautiful waterfalls, rich flora and fauna as well as its thermal waters. Visit also an authentic village to admire thermal springs, waterfalls flowing down from hundreds of meters and the beautiful village houses. Today enjoy a traditional lunch in a typical village house. Have a short drive to your 5* hotel for dinner and overnight.
Drive along the Black Sea coast back to Trabzon for your outbound flight.
