Upon arrival in Istanbul you will be greeted by our company representative at the airport and transferred to your 5* hotel.
After the breakfast at the hotel you will explore the highlights of Istanbul, the ancient Constantinople. Walk along the ancient monuments of theRoman Hippodrome to the BlueMosque, an imperial mosque from Ottoman period which is renowned in the world for its elegant blue tiles and sublime 6 minarets. Then you will advance to the admirable church of Hagia Sophia, the masterpiece of the Byzantine architecture that has been considered as the biggest Christian place of worship in the world for many centuries. After lunch you will visit the magnificent Topkapı Palace which is the standing witness of glorious but secret and intriguing lives of Ottoman sultans. You will see the jewels, ceramics, weapons, and holy relics from the ottoman era in the courts of the palace. After lunch break drive to your 5* hotel in Bursa for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast at the hotel you will set out for Thyatira, whose church members were warned by God for their wrong practices aftermemorizing the content of the letter of revelation sent to them. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then you will continue toThe Red Church and Acropolis of Pergamon, where the Satan has its altar as it is referred in St John’s Gospel. It was that city that housed the library rivalled the library of Alexandria in scope and size. Drive to city of İzmir for dinner and overnight in your 5* hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for Ephesus, the first of the 7 holy churches of Revelation and one of the towering roman sites of the world where St. Paul preached for few years in his 3rd missionary journey. As you walk through the marble streets of this great city you will enjoy the splendid library, the grand theater, odeon, agoras and the temple of Hadrian. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then you may visit the leather outlet show room nearby. You will enhance your pilgrimage with the prayers in the Basilica of St. John where the Evangelist John buried and Virgin Mary's House, in which she is beleived to have spent her final days before the assumption. Return to your 5* hotel in İzmir for diner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will first stop by St Poliycarp Church to commemorate the devotion of the early church members of Symirna who suffered much from the suppression and violence of the pagan authoroties. Next you will proceed to Sardis, one of the most picturesque sites of any of the Seven Churches. Explore the great Roman gymnasium, the Temple of Artemis with a small Byzantine church next to it and the largest synagogue of the antiquity discovered outside of Israel. Then you will continue your expedition through Philadelphia, actually called Alasehir. After lunch break you will see the remains of a Byzantine basilica church in Philadelphia, one of the two churches among the seven, which was highly honored and praised in John’s letter. Then head out to your 5* hotel near Pamukkale for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. You will start your day by wandering around the unique cotton-white calcium carbonate travertines of Pamukkale that were formed by its natural hot springs. Then you will explore the ruins of the ancient site ofHierapolisthat houses the martyrium of St. Philip the apostle. Following lunch break you will continue to the ancient city of Laodicea which is the last of the seven churches addressed in the Book of Revelation. St. John refers its members as neither hot nor cold, just lukewarm to the new faith in the words of God. Then head to your hotel in Konya, the biblical Iconium for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins withthe Museum of Mevlana to explore the mystical path of Rumi, the timeless world famous mystic poet and one of the earliest humanists of the world. After lunch break you will drive to the wonderlands of Cappadocia that is undoubtedly one of the crucial places for Christians. On the road you’ll take a short stop at the 13th century Sultanhan Caravanserai that was used to accommodate mainly the Silk Road caravans. Then on the way to Cappadocia you will visit Kaymaklı underground city, subterranean dwellings of ancient people living in the region and later became the refuge for Christians during Roman persecution and Arab incursions. Have a photo stop at the natural fort of Uçhisar with cone-like formations around it. You’ll drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
You may choose to experience an optional hot air balloon ride over the fantastic landscape of Cappadocia in the early morning. After the breakfast at the hotel you will explore the rock-cut churches with fine frescoes depicting biblical and apocrypal scenes on the walls of the cave churches in Goreme Open-Air Museum. Cappadocia witnessed the penetration of Christianity in Anatolia. Following the footsteps of St. Paul, the first Christians came to settle in the natural grottoes where they created rock carved churches and underground cities, painting the churches with important episodes from the Bible in brilliant colors. Then you will visit a traditionalrugweavingschoolto observe the finest examples of Turkish tribal art where you will be amazed with the full process of silk cacoons being trasformedinto extremely fine carpets. After lunch you will stroll around the capped columns so-called fairy chimneys in Paşabağı Valley. Next you will enjoy the view of the lunar lanscape and rock formations in various shapes at Hunters’ Valley. You may also take the opportunity of visiting a local workshop in the town of Avanos, the pottery center of Turkey, where still art pieces are created with the ancient Hittites’ techniques. You’ll return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and you’ll take an early flight to lstanbul. Upon arrival you will visit the remarkable Church of St Saviour in Chora which is decorated with exquisite examples of Byzantium mosaic art depicting detailed accounts of the lives of Mary and Jesus. You may take the opportunity of enjoying an optional cruise along the Bosphorus to enjoy by your private chartered boat the view of the scenic landscape of the strait adorned with ottoman palaces, forts, and fine old wooden houses on the shores of the water. After lunch break you’ll explore the historical Grand Bazaarthrough its unique oriental ambiance. In the evening you’ll attend a farewell dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight will be at your 5* hotel.
After the breakfast at the hotel you’ll be transferred to the Istanbul Airport for your outbound flight.
